This year, the award “Giant Panda Best Friends” was awarded for the first time by the animal and species protection society GPFriends International gemeinnützige UG.

The recognition is given to the selected individuals, institutions, organizations and institutions who are committed to the protection of nature, wildlife and species, in particular the Giant Pandas.

The members and the management of the society unanimously decided that four institutions will receive the award this year. They were honored for their excellent work:

Tiergarten Schönbrunn, Austria
Chengdu Panda Base, China
CCRCGP China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda, China
Pandas International, USA
